Meet Dr. Mark Spretnjak

Physician and pain coach combining modern pain science, Mind Body Medicine, and compassionate care to help you move beyond persistent pain.

Mark Spretnjak, MD

For years, my work has centered around one of the most complex problems in healthcare: persistent pain.

I have worked with and helped thousands of people living with chronic pain, giving me the opportunity to see firsthand how differently pain can present—and how rarely a one-size-fits-all approach works.

My educational background includes a medical degree from the University of Novi Sad Faculty of Medicine in Serbia and a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Logan University in the United States. I am also currently enrolled in The Herbert Benson, MD Course in Mind Body Medicine through Harvard Medical School Continuing Education (2026), further expanding my education in the relationship between mind, body, stress, and health.

That medical and scientific foundation, combined with years of hands-on experience working with people in pain, has shaped the way I approach persistent symptoms today.

I look beyond simply where it hurts.

I consider how the brain and nervous system, previous experiences, fear, behavior, movement, sleep, nutrition, and lifestyle may interact with the pain experience.

Today, I bring that experience into personalized, one-on-one pain and mind-body coaching.

My role is not to replace your physician. I do not diagnose medical conditions or prescribe medications through this service.

My role is to help you understand your pain, identify factors that may be keeping you stuck, and develop an individualized path forward.
